An Innkeeper’s Life in the Rockies

About US

Eric is building a Veri Ez

This is Eric’s hide out. It’s a place for him to hide, and work on his Veri-Ez. Although it is not yet complete here is a photo of what the airplane will look like upon completion. We started the project while still living in Washington State–back in 1986. I helped with some of the fiberglass work.

Clicking this photo will take you to a Veri-Ez builders page full of great information.

Eric is stretchy!

Eric, Caprissa, Maggie

This is Eric stretching at the dog park. Getting ready to throw the ball for Maggie He’s pretty stretchy legged. A couple of summers ago a guest took this photo of us sitting under the rustic gazebo eating ice cream and talking…something we love to do. Capriss Eric Maggie at dog park Here we are with Maggie at the dog park. She is trying to be patient with us. This was taken in mid-March of 2008.

We love living in the mountains and love our life as innkeepers. Maggie is a winker, my husband is buffed and Les is making an odd face. Liz is the one dressed in her cute jams, I’m in the red sweater wondering if the breakfast is burning. Eric officiated Les and Liz’s wedding 3 years ago.

    Hello,

I am writing to request consent to use an image I found on your website. We are looking for positive images of older adults engaged in recreational activities for a brochure introducing a pilot program for adults with early stage dementia. The program assists clients to access activity/recreational groups and to support carers.

The image is of a group of ladies in the dining room.

The brochure would be distributed within 2 council areas within the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The image would be one of several photos and only printed at thumbnail size so people in the image would not be identifiable.

Please let me know either way, i.e. whether you consent to the photo being used or not and we will respect your wishes.

    With kind regards

You are welcome to use the images you found on our bed and breakfast blog. It would be a delight to know the photos are serving to encourage the elderly to get out and have fun together.

We ask, if space allows, that you credit: Gilded Pine Meadows Bed and Breakfast, photo by, Caprissa Frawley. If your space is limited and you are not able to credit our location or name we would understand that as well.

Perhaps you can mail us your finished printed item. It would be fun to show the ladies!

Hi — it’s always fun to see the new stuff you’re posting. I built a WEST system yacht (30 foot sloop) years ago so I know what Eric’s going through with his project. Lately all we have time for is working on the B&B.

Check out our new twitter feed — http://www.twitter.com/rainforestinn
presently about 25 bed and breakfasts from around the world are on that twitter.

I’m also trying to build a news network for bed and breakfast owners
