Temperatures were in the mid 50s here in Estes Park! So, we packed up Maggie and spent the afternoon playing at Lake Estes. Several geese were bathing and snacking on ground-stuff.

Black Canyon makes a stunning back drop in Estes Park’s Northern horizon.

Ooops sorry, I got too close to this fella.

Today Estes Park was bathed in bright sun rays and the sound of songbirds. By noon I’d hung out my favorite bird feeder and prepared my camera for action. It took minutes for word and song to spread among fowl and beast–food was to be had at the Frawley’s.
If you see the perfect picture in your lens you’ve missed the perfect shot. So I placed my eye in my camera’s eye cup and commenced working my shutter. I snapped away blindly as pretty birds dove and dashed around the feeder. I was in the house five minutes when Eric waived me to the window to witness the last of the seed being eaten by this baby elk.
