We sits...here is Eric sitting after clearing the breakfast dishes.

Here is I sitting having tea.

Each day Eric practices his singing and guitar strumming, so this is part of our daily routine. Come summer he'll do a few open mics 'round town.

Hitting the gym each week is mucho importante. Keeps us healthy and energetic...is my elbow sagging?

Eric has been working out his whole life, so pulling and pushing weights is his idea of normal. The i-pod is a new addition to his work out, it keeps chatty people at bay, says he.

Eric pulling weights.

Gym friend, Ricardo, is respectful and always smiling.

"Smile" By the way we provide discounted health club passes to our guests.

Rocky Mountain Health Club has a hot tub and a steam sauna, along with tanning beds, racquetball court, yoga classes...and more. Click this photo to get taken to website.

Back to work we go... Eric shown here cleaning the front porch.

Eric attends to details, while I follow him around with a camera.

We rest and listen to more tunes, while Maggie keeps an eye out for guests. This is a typical private time in our home. I must say, as I write this I send out a word of thanks for such a beautiful life and happy family.

Does this look posed? Well, I felt goofy taking this shot, however, I wanted you to see us in a photo together.

I change out the wreath every so often by adding and removing dry flowers. Today I added a few miniature roses for Valentines. After seeing it in this photo I'll take out the lavender thistles.

Maggie's day is packed full with security procedures such as going from window to...

door...watching...

...and keeping an eye out for new arrivals and passer-byes

Mountain cotton tail. Better known as, Our-little-Lacy is our wild friend. She lives in a rabbit hole near the bottom of the driveway. Daily she comes up to the hot tub deck to say hello. She's got a live in friend we've named Casey. Both blond-bomb shells, with a twinkle in their eye, and a zest for life.

Today Eric and I got all gussied up and attended a local-celebrity sing along with Brad and Kathy Fitch.

The library updated the children's area to add room for live music and wild parties! The scandals behavior in this town is shameless.

A mural depicts a wish we granted. Library's are a nice place to enjoy peace.

Closed for a few weeks means no library during a time us tax paying locals use it most.

This is the view out the upstairs window of the library. Here they have FREE Wi-Fi for all to enjoy year around.

Eric uses the library computers often as an alternative location to work on his commodity charts. Wireless internet and computer usage is free and easy at the library in Estes Park. We too offer wi-fi. We don't, however, have a computer available for your use here at the B&B.

Four Ebert squirrels playing in the afternoon sun. The black and sometimes gray, tufted eared gals and guys are playful and sometimes right-out goofy. This past summer a baby Ebert squirrel lounged flat on its side in the middle of our driveway. We had a talk about ways to stay off the extinct animals list. Please enjoy, no need to feed. Eberts thrive on the pine cone seeds--and believe me one little fellow can eat 2 or 3 faster than you can wrangle your peanut butter sandwich out of your back pack, grab your camera, and trip over a stone. We sugges sitting still and enjoy a free show on, "how to eat a tree in 10 minutes, and not gain a pound."

Two bull elk practise their rutting skills during the off-season. Actual rutting takes place in the fall season, but the boys like to play and in this case they played by ripping down this neighbors garden poles. Some of the best elk viewing is done in close to town.

Our 75 year old Quaking Aspen trees remind me of my first years experience of living in the Rockies. They are scattered all over the Colorado Rocky Mountains connected by their roots. The largest living organism is a grove of aspen trees in Colorado. Click for more information.

Kay and Dennie Meader renewed Wedding Vows for the New Year at the Estes Park, Stanley Hotel. Eric officiated the ceremony in the Stanley Hotel Manor House and I provided photography service. THIS is the INTERESTING part of the story. Kay is a huge Stanley Hotel and Stephen King fan...so, that evening she and her husband dined with the KING. Yes, Kay and Dennie were seated with Stephen. Kay unaware of whom she was dining with, commented to Stephen that he looked so much like Stephen King. It wasn't until the end of the night that Mr. King told Kay that he was indeed the man she adored.

Eric looking dapper before officiating vow renewal ceremony
Kay and Dennie had family with them at the Stanley Hotel Manor House. Children who wonder up in the middle of a ceremony adds beauty and spontaneity to the moment.

Flower girls left to their own creative ideas adds to the charm of the ceremony. Who ever said they HAD to stand out front the WHOLE time.

Kay's son walking through lobby. This photo is unedited. This man's image took on a translucent effect for a few seconds as he past me in the lobby of the Stanley Hotel Manor house. See the next photo which was taken seconds later. Note the orb near the back of his knees.I'm not saying I believe in ghost...but it does make one pause.

Today we went to MacGregor Ranch XIX which is a half mile from Gilded Pine Meadows B&B. Clicking this photo will take you to the ranches website. In the summer months the ranch opens their authentic cabin museum for tours.

This is MacGregor Jane. She'll hook you up with organic, black Angus beef. Jane is the Ranch's office manager and wears several hats...all at once. She's standing in her, not so humble, corner office with a window-view of Rocky Mountain's Longs Peak.

Jane is a one of Estes Park's friendly locals whom we find to have a colorful personality. So, when Jane landed this envies position with the Historic MacGregor Ranch Eric and I decided we needed to go check out her new digs. Photo of Eric and Jane posing for me in Jane's office.

Jane and Eric talking about the Ranches spooky and interesting history going back to 1873. Some stuff is creepy, but for the most part the ranches rich history tells the story of the American cowboy who done-good. The MacGregor family continues to make marvelous contributions to the Estes Park area's school children and our mountain community.

Shown here is MacGregor Jane's office. In the back ground is just a small sample of Black Canyon and Lumpy Ridge which serves as the majestic back drop for the ranch and our B&B.

Eric in our car as we begin to leave the ranch. The sign to the right shows that it's just another 1/2 a mile to the lumpy Ridge trail head. From Lumpy Ridge you can gain access to several beautiful day hikes which offer gorgeous views of the valley and continental divide. The Twin Owls trail head (just one trail out of many) closes each year for the sake of the raptors which live in the large rock outcropping. Clicking this photo will take you to a website which shows photos of raptors.

"Come again, and buy our beef". Click this link to find out more about buying beef. MacGregor Black Angus cattle are born and raised on the natural grass meadows of the historic mountain ranch. The cattle are raised antibiotic and hormone free. The Ranch offers a wide variety of steak cuts, lean ground meats, roasts and packages.

Eric & Caprissa Frawley, along with our sweet Maggie, wish you a Merry Christmas and a joyful 2008.
Many have asked about Maggie’s current health. She had another vestibular incident in October. Her recovery was about 4 to 6 weeks. We did not take her to the vet, nor did we drug her. We hand fed her, helped her walk to keep her strong. She lost much of her sight during her recovery time. She’s back to herself…just a little less study on her feet, and a little less tolerant of photo ops, (as you can see). Her eye sight came back partially–if not most of it. She can get around well in areas she is familiar with, including our five acres. We had to chase her down several times for this picture.

Each year on the Friday night after Thanksgiving Estes Park holds it's parade of lights. Thank you America--the land of the free.
